In john 1:18 says Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God and in colosians 1:15 says He is the image of invisible God, and the first born of all creation. what is the difference between the only begotten and the first born? (general question, and particular to Jehovah witness and to those who do not believe Christs humanity)

It means that Jesus is God and first in pre-eminence over everything in the Universe.

Only begotten = the only individual God made directly, without the assistance of anyone.
All others (includung angels) were made through Jesus, or with the assistance of Jesus.
Colossians 1:16,17.
First born = the beginning of God's creation. The very first one made.

Jesus Christ, the first born. God is the creator of our spirits, we are His spirit children and Jesus Christ was the firstborn of his spirit children.

Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God means that he is the only one born of God physically. God is the father of his spirit and of his body.

I believe that both God and Jesus Christ are separate personages and that they have resurrected bodies of flesh and bone.

Yes. Jesus is the only-begotten firstborn Son of God, Jehovah. He is not equal with Jehovah. Everything came from him after Jehovah created him. Jesus was his master worker. He helped create the Earth. Jesus also is 'the Word'.

That's why John 1:1 says " In the beginning the Word was and the Word was god and the Word was a god". Jesus is considered a god but not with a capital G. He's not Almighty.
