Im 19, 5'6, and approx 134 pounds. (Is that healthy?)
Summers approaching and i want to trim my stomach (going on my first girls holiday this yr so want to look healthy!) and also just keep toned / slim.
I don't do any exercise except if you count a 10min walk max each day! and just moving about during the day, although work in an office, so not that active! lol...
I tried Gym a few times however, the cheapest gym in my area was still costing me alot and price put me off. Thought about jogging as its free obviously and even better because your outdoors and not stuck in in a room full of sweaty people!
I went for my first "jog" last night with a friend who likes to keep fit. Went for 40 mins and if im being honest, mainly power walked. I have running shoes so no problem there and already know i should be stretching beforehand.
However, just have a couple of questions and any additional advice for someone starting jogging would be great too!
How many times a week should i go? Could i go everyday for 30/ 40mins roughly or should i leave days in between and why?
Should you eat beforehand or after? I get home from work at 6 and usually have my dinner at 7. How can i work this?
I've heard of circuit trainging which i believe is (correct me if im wrong?) walk, jog, walk, jog...etc. Would this be gd for me, rather than just a very slow paced jog? (Being realistic here lol).
Also, i have a hill nearby with a lot of steps.... i heard running up and down steps are good for toning your ass? True?
