how can his psychiatrist say he is completely "sane" ......? - on the news today.

this is the most stupidest thing i have heard..how can this man be sane and do what he did!?!!?!?!

By saying he is sane,takes away the risk of him being done under the laws of diminished responsibility..Good move on the psychiatrists part for working that out.The man doesn't have to be insane to do what he done.Just evil and vicious.

This man goes way beyond the realms of understanding!
He is crazy for sure and so is his psychiatrist!
He will of course get 'life' and live in comfort with his tv, food, no bills no worry. Yet what he did to his daughter and her children, omG they is sentenced to a life of pure hell

I take it you aren't voting him "Father of the Year."
It's reassuring to label people insane when they do horrid things, and obviously there's something in the personality that's completely missing. But that doesn't mean they don't have full awareness of reality. Most of the "crazy" things done are done by people with abnormal personalities but no psychosis.

It does seem odd. I think she must be meaning that he cannot be deemed innocent of grounds of mental incapacity, ie. he knows what he is doing, and always was aware that what he was doing was wrong.

I can only assume that he is sane in the sense that he was aware of what he was doing but unaware of the cconsequences Despite that I have no sympathy for him. The harshest penalty possible should be put on him.
