Hey, so I just got a smartphone and still not really sure about what charges data or not. My family and I got the iphone 4 and so my questions are if we facetime will it charge data if we're not connected to wifi? Also if your not connected to wifi and you get a notification for example from instagram saying that you got a like from so and so will that charge your data too? And does it charge a lot?
 
yes, you will be charged with data once you are not connected to the WIFI. whether it is a facetime, internet access, etc. you will be using data if you're not connected to WIFI. charges depends on your career.
 
That depends on your service provider. you probly arlready have data on your contract so u wont need wifi. But if you are not connected via. wifi and you are still connected to the internet then you are being charged.
