Just got green card, do I need US passport to travel abroad?

I am looking to travel back to see my parents for the 1st time in 4 years. I got my green card but my question is do I need a US passport to get back in the states or is my Colombian Passport ok?

You don't get a US passport before you become a US citizen.
You are still a citizen of Columbia. You will need to use your Columbian passport and your Green Card to get back into the US.

asa green card holder you have NO rights to a US passport...........you leave on your columbian passport and then when you come back you go into the US and PR line, you will need to then show your green card and it would not hurt to have a few other bits of id [drivers license etc] but they will scan your finger prints at that point.
