I've never had a white cat before, only dark furred. I took two males to be neutered today, picked them up not ten minutes ago. The dark tabby looks fine, I don't see any caked-on blood, but my white cat is covered in blood, from his bottom to mid-leg.

Never had this happen before. Is it alright?

check to see if he is actively bleeding. the way most vets neuter cats is they pluck the hair directly off of the scrotum and then make a small incision in the scrotum to get the testicles out. that is where the blood is from.

if everything looks ok you can get some hydrogen peroxide and put it on a paper towel..wipe where the blood is. this will get the blood out without having to bathe the poor kitty. the hydrogen peroxide will foam a bit...just wipe the foam up with a dry cloth or paper towel.

Well this could be from the procedure but I'm not so sure. I would have to see it myself. It's best to clean it up, and check it for any scars or marks. Depending on the severity of the marks you might need to ask a vet about it.

If he is not actively bleeding everything is OK and you don't need to worry. Seems a shame the vet or clinic didn't take the pains to clean him up a little.

They couldn't have really given him a bath. Though the neutering is done through a very small incision there would be some danger of infection if the cat had been "surmerged" to really clean him up.
