Katy Perry’s husband, Russell Brand, wanted to join his wife in Japan for the weekend. However, Japan did a background check on Russell Brand and decided to deport him. Katy Perry, understandably, was saddened by the news. Russell Brand, being a professional comic, used the opportunity to crack a few jokes.
The news broke on Katy Perry’s Twitter page: “My husband got deported from Japan. I am so sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place.”
On Twitter, Katy Perry went on to elaborate: “It was for priors from over ten years ago!”
Russell Brand went on Twitter to drop a few jokes: “Planning escape from Japanese custody. It’s bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick.” And: “Stockholm syndrome kicking in. Just asked my guard out for sushi.”
Too bad for Russell Brand. However, maybe this was karma kicking in for posting the picture of Katy Perry without makeup.
