Hi,i know this question been answered hundred times, but tried tons of different recipe still they don't taste like the one from KFC or takeaway places.Has anyone or do you know the recipe which has same or close taste to the fried chicken they serve at takeaway places?i would be very grateful
P.S anyone knows how they do those pickled onion takeaway places use in their salads?thanks

im not sure what the kfc recipe is but this site should sort you out http://allrecipes.com/Recipes/meat-and-poultry/chicken/fried/main.aspx

I would ask this on the USA site. Fried Chicken recipes are very varied and anything could make the diffference. Are you soaking the pieces in buttermilk overnight?

my kids have always said my baked chicken is better than KFC and Churches and Popeye's!!

crush package of flake cereal, corn flakes, etc
put in gallon zip lock bag, and add
1/4 cup seasoned salt
2 tablespoons sage
1 tablespoon celery salt
1 teaspoon garlic granules
1 teaspoon onion granules

shake and spray with pam or veggie oil until well oiled.
dip chicken pieces in buttermilk and shake in cereal bag.
place on oil misted baking sheet
bake at 350F for an hour, check to see if chicken is done.

No, it isn't deep fried!! It isn't the traditional flour batter breading, but it is really good.

I do not know why everyone wants to copy a commercial recipe anyway! I want mine to be very uniquely mine!!

As you know this is part of the great secret -- Pressure Fried in oil that made KFC special. Pressure cooking softens the chicken pieces.

Try this recipe I have worked with it with a degree of success I never put the tomato soup it changes the color of the mix, but I soak the chicken overnight in butter milk The Mexican Oregano is very different to the Greek Oregano leaves in flavor. Double dip the chicken in the mix and the flavored flour before frying. Coat well and fry.
