guys i need you advice please
please read this very important...
im 17 years old and i train mma but its kinda hard you know how to to chock and left and its 1st class we dont do pnuches just take downs and other stuff like lefting a person up ect....
we do one day and other day off and when i was at my day off i when was at the gym lefting wehits i saw the kickboxing class it was kinda fun and aowsome u know i liked it but i also like kickboxing but i have to choz one.... my golas are build muscles also abs nd good at fighting im not that skiny and not that fat but i have strong musles not that strong though but im strong for my size . what do you think i would take kickboxing or mma and tell me why too ??
 
mma is kind of hard to judge being that every one teaches it different. my teacher mixes mainly muay thai and some g and p. if you want to be a better fighter as a whole generally mma is best. however if your looking for a better stand up game go with the kickboxing(if you have muay thai available i suggest that) as far as a work out it really depends on you and your teacher, how hard you push yourself and how hard he does as well. either way fighting is for the most part cardio, i am in the gym lifting weights after practice. and if your trying to gain muscle i suggest that as well

Kickboxing is a talent in MMA


Its kinda like your saying .. should i take batting practice or baseball ?

A good school works striking (usually Muay thai kickboxing) Grappling (usually brazillian ju jitsu ) and then has periods were they combine the two. If your not getting that , then you may need to switch schools. message me and tell me where your from and i will help you find a good school.

As for getting in better shape, MMA is like any other exercise, it works but you gotta put in the effort. Its simple, but it aint easy. Good luck
 
Kickboxing would be i good starting art (only full contact and k1 style would be good) , 1st focus on basic boxing and kicks (kickbox) then you can do mma. Ground fighting,takedowns,boxing,kicking it's to much to start with(mma) if you have zero experence
