kind of a gross question about a Clive Barker Maybe Dean Koontz book.?

I am trying to remember what book or short story i read were a killer cut people up and put the peices back together somehow. I think it was A clive barker Short story or a dean koontz book, possibly "hideaway" its driving me nuts. im sure their are hundreds of stories like that, but i have a pile of stephen king, barker, and koonts books and i think it was from there.
