Kitten whining in the morning?

My kitten who is now 8 months old has for the past 2 months started a sort of whining at about 6am.. it's like a meow but he doesnt open his mouth but its pretty much constant. It is almost like a whimper!

I get up.. give him food and water, clean his litter and cuddle him but as soon as I go back to bed he starts again. I am worried that he is trying to tell me something?! As soon i get up for the morning he is fine.. is he just wanting my attention?

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
He is an indoor cat.. so I can't let him out..
I would let him outside but he is a rescued cat and i live in an apartment (don't worry its big enough for him!) i also live in an area with alot of traffic and I wouldn't feel comfortable with him outside. Love him too much!

He is either telling you he wants food or he wants to go out (mine were indoor cats untill i couldnt take the whinning n more)

My cat used to do that, i think it just wants some attention from you because he clearly loves being near you

mine was the same wanted to go out side let him out for a couple of hours

Our cats wake us up at 05:00 in the morning. They just want attention and of course to go outside.
