Two weeks ago i hurt my knee at school. At the time of the injury i felt a pop on the outside of my knee and i felt moderate pain. i was able to walk off the field under my on power. a few mins later i walked up stairs and my knee gave out. it didnt hurt it just felt weird. now two weeks later my knee is a lot better and i can walk normal. i can bend my knee and i dont really feel any pain just some pressure. also i have like a bulge on the outside of my knee when i bend my leg in toward me. i went to the doctor yesterday and he said i need an MRI. How serious does my injury sound and what might have i injuryed?

You may have injured your ACL(anterior cruciate ligament) or some cartilage(maybe part of the meniscus) in the knee. This injury is common among runners and football players. It might be serious, and may mean you may not be able to run for a little while, but keep going to the doctor and get that MRI. Try not to bend it, get plenty of rest and liquids, and don't worry about it too much.
