Alright... So i watched this Kony video yesterday and honestly i thought it was amazing. I keep hearing all the comments, everything against it. Yes, I have looked up my facts. I know that Invisible Children is a Shady organization but..
Who CARES!? The point, to me, is that awareness is being raised, whether it is about Joseph Kony or the terrible African army.
Terrible Facts:
-Woman in Africa are raped daily by the African army, it is the "norm".
- No, as if woman being raped everyday by the people that are supposed to protect them, their children are too, whether they are the age of 2,4,7,14,17 etc.
- The US government spends an average of 1 BILLION dollars in the Middle East everyday or on war materials, when that could feed Africa or the Middle East for over 2 years.
- Over half the children in Africa are now dying slow painful deaths of AIDS with NO medical care.
-Men in the African army usually put knives inside of woman so they are unable to have children and there is NO medical care.
Yes..horrifying isn't it? It's quite embarresing when you think about all the obese people in the US or the people on the FORBES list who are more interested in having a huge house than helping people in desperate need.
In the end, we are all humans, on the SAME planet, with the SAME needs. and we MUST help each other.
