I am looking to get a laptop and I found one made by HP for 400 dollars. I really like the amount of RAM and the hard drive but I'm pretty iffy on two things:

Is the processor good? What is the processor in my laptop used for? And how good is the graphics card provided?

Here are the specifications:

Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core mobile processor T3400

Features a 667MHz frontside bus, 1MB L2 cache and 2.16GHz processor speed.
3GB DDR2 memory
For multitasking power.
Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support
Records up to 8.5GB of data or 4 hours of video using compatible DVD+R DL and DVD-R DL media.
15.4" high-definition TFT-LCD widescreen display
With BrightView technology and 1280 x 800 resolution brings your movies and games to life.
250GB SATA hard drive (5400 rpm)
Offers plenty of storage capacity.
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
With up to 1309MB total video memory for high-powered graphics. Altec Lansing audio; HDMI port for connecting HD components.
