I was hired at a movie theatre in Portland, Oregon for "seasonal work". I am going on a trip over xmas and they have stated that I was hired for "seasonal work" and I said that I could work holidays (I never specifically said that I would work xmas". Anyways a trip came up AFTER I told them that I could work. Is their any law or act that says they have to let me take this time off if I wont be in the state any longer? Is there anything I can do? or do I have to cancel out on my trip and go to work?
