LDS How can I improve the compassionate service effectiveness?

Hi, I am currently a compassionate service leader. My Relief Society President can't say No and makes me call people for every little thing. I have no lists or sheets to work with I only use the ward directory. I call people I don't know for people I don't know, It has been very hard calling. Any suggestions? Thanks.
