Left, front speaker on 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt LS keeps going in and out -- why?

As I explained, my left, front speaker on my Cobalt keeps going in and out sporadically. When it's on, it plays perfectly, but out of no where it will just go out for no apparent reason. What do you think that problem is?
