It will definately fit with the tailgate down. A few ratchet straps are all you need to keep it from sliding out. Or you can put the front in toward the cab, lift the rear and close the tailgate. The majority of a snowmobile's weight is up front so resting the track on the closed tailgate should,'t be a problem.
