LG 32" LH30 1080p LCD HDTV.?

I just purchased this television on black friday and I am not liking the picture of this TV. I am not sure if its my cable box (Dish Network) and it needs a cable or something. So I am wondering if I need to have certain settings to get the best quality, if so what are the best settings?
 
im not sure about dish. i have regular cable (time warner) i replaced my cable box with an HD box that has the green,blue,red video wires. but now i use HDMI so check if those wires are connected. if you are using regular yellow,white,red than your not getting HD. note that when you use green,blue,red wires the white and other red you still need for thats for the sound.

My picture is amazing!! i dont know where youre getting the bad picture from. I have mine set to "VIVID" for all my inputs. Press the Q.MENU button, then press the arrow on your remote left or right till you get to picture, then switch it to vivid. If you need more help just email me. since we have the same tv i can prolly help you a lot.
