LG Connect or LG Esteem?

I am going to upgrade my phone, and I am stuck between two of them: the LG Esteem and the LG Connect from MetroPCS. Both phones are 4G and have enough internal storage for what I would use them for. The LG Esteem has a very large touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, but I have heard that the battery life is not so great. The LG Connect is super fast and light, but it's not as tough and does not have Gorilla Glass. Both are great phones overall, and they are the same price. Which one should I get and why?
