LG Viewty vs. LG Renoir? Yahoo Messenger on both?

I am trying to decide which phone to get. I have been reading a lot of praises for the Viewty and a lot of bad ones for the Renoir. It's like the Viewty is tried and tested since it has been out for a while as for the other hand Renoir offers some upgrades from Viewty but there seem to be a lot of unsettled user issues with the Renoir.

Also, do both phones have instant messaging that does not require any internet plans?

The Rookie Blogger it depends on your style... both can have messenger...
