LG Voyager For Sale, Should I Trust?

A person on craigslist.org said they were selling their LG voyager for $100 dollars and i asked if it would be okay to buy it off him/her for $90 and all they emailed me back with just a yes.
This person lives all the way out in Jaffrey, NH and i live in Concord, NH.
What should be some things to ask this person or checkout about this phone to make sure him/her isnt scaming me ?
 
is the ESN clean, will u meet me at a Verizon store or whatever company u have service for so i can activate it then i will pay u Idk know how far u live from each other but if it's to far ask him for the ESN and call ur provider to check it
