LG Xenon with Bell: Sim Card problems regularly?

Am i the only person with LG xexon from bell mobility that has to replace the sim card every few months? i get a message that my sim card is unregistered, or locked...but it happens regularly and i ahve to pay for a new one. this is the third time for me.
 
my mother is having the exact same problem with her phone. suddenly the SIM is unregistered and BELL has no idea what's causing the problem.
