I'm sure there must be "some sort" of liability issues with a business owned jumper cables, but was wondering if the courts would slam down against a business attempting to help out a customer's dead car but (worst case scenario) the jumper cables decided to harm the car more than help.
I work at a business where customers are in our building till about midnight. The later they leave, the less people there are. I don't want to run into a situation where they're the only people left, and nobody has taxi money or jumper cables.
If there are some liability issues with a "business owned" jumper cables, couldn't the liability also extend it to an employee, that is on the clock, who use their own jumper cables to help start a customer's dead car?
Please, I'm not looking for any smart-ass answers. I would appreciate a legal answer. Thanks.
