Hi all, my question is fairly simple and needs a legal guru.
I'm planning to start reselling internet services, like hosting and private connections. I'll be renting a dedicated server for which I need to agree to the company's Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy.
In the event one of my customers uses my service for an illegal purpose, can I be safe making my own customers sign the same type of agreement I needed to sign to be able to rent the server or am going to be personally liable for the offense? How can I be legally protected from what my users might do with my service? I could block certain activity but this goes against the main idea behind the service and even blocking everything doesn't mean somebody couldn't come with a way to bypass that.
The server is going to be rented from the UK, don't know if different countries may have different laws on this.
Thanks,
Ka.
