Liberals, do you really have the right to complain when you refuse to buy

American made? How can anyone expect job growth when a item manufactured in the USA at a cost of $300 can be bought made in China for $50. Then if you buy from a company who's workforce is union, you are probably looking at a price tag of $500.

YES BECAUSE IF WE CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS WE ARE FORCED TO BUY FOREIGN PRODUCTS! WHY DO YOU GUYS KEEP ASKING RIDICULOUS QUESTIONS LIKE THIS WHEN YOU ARE THE CAUSE OF IT? NOT TO MENTION IT'S YOU GUYS THAT OUTSOURCE JOBS, AND SELL THESE PRODUCTS FOR A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT MORE THAN WHAT THEY COST! SERIOUSLY! HOW CAN YOU BE SO DENSE?

It's unrealistic to expect poor people to pay extra for their goods. If I have extra money (and the American made product is equal in quality), then sure, I'd prefer to buy American.

That doesn't make your argument incorrect, but conservatives do this too, it's not a liberal or conservative problem it's a national problem. If we all agree that we should buy American, then we should make that choice easier and the solution isn't that difficult. You just have to tax imports to the point that they are more expensive than American products.

Edit:

I love how Unions get brought up, but Unions exemplify the problem:

It does no good for me (as an individual) to buy American. It's ONLY effective if EVERYONE (or at least a large majority) buy American, likewise labor is only powerful if it Unionizes...so you want to Unionize how Americans buy products. We have to come together and agree to do this or it doesn't work, simple as that. Now if we already agree that we should buy American, then raising the price of imported goods doesn't really do anything because we weren't going to buy that anyway, but at least this way there is no financial reason to buy non-American goods.

So...let me get this straight. Your greed prevents you from being a patriot? How about this? How about you work a little harder and buy American.

And, since you brought up the “union” thing. It’s bullsh.it by the way. BUT...there was a time in this country when the slogan was “Look for the Union Label.” Remember those days? That’s because union labor is stronger labor, and more skilled labor -- meaning better products.

If you want to continue to support Chinese sweatshop labor, go ahead. But if you make no effort to buy American, you are not a patriot.
