Little pink bumps on the back of my throat?

OK I am desperate here. I have already posted a question about this but know one answered. I have a really bad soar throat and bumps on the back of my throat. I have been told that I need my tonsils taken out but they were not removed. I am going to the doctor tommorow but I wanted to know if there was anything I could do and can anyone give me a diagnosis? I am so desperate plase answer my ?!

Gargle with warm salt water, its a start to killing the bacteria and whatever else might be living back there.
Always start here when you have the possible signs of a sore throat.
