Like really ? I wouldn't say he gained fans , he had those , if you didn't know the actual "This is it" tour sold out in less than 4 hours, his comeback at 50. I would say he gained respect , thats about it. If you didn't know about him before he died thats your own fault because you were busy watching Hannah Montana. I've been a fan since 01 and I'm 17 now and I had to be about 8 then, so some of who you who say that " he wasnt liked before he died" , don't speak for me because I knew all about him. Somebody said people didn't listen to his music at all before he died ? in their homes? yes. His music wasn't aired on tv like it did when it first came out because its classic, nothing's gonna stay on tv once it gets a little old. Boy oh boy , Miley cyrus have you all screwed and I pity you. Oh god , like forreal , don't categorize him with the has beens and the washed up stars. He stopped making music himself because he was going through the trials and personal issues , because he could have put out a song today and Michael Jackson would be on top of the charts. People were actuallly waiting for his new album he was working on with Will.I.AM but he wasn't ready.
