How long have you been in this LDR? If it's a only a few months then I think it was very impolite for you tell him off. It was a gift. If this relationship is a couple years old it's still impolite but perhaps you could have said a cute little joke like "nothing says valentines like a mobile headset" if he asked what you meant then you could have joked and explained it. You just came off as rude especially when you don't know if that's your actual gift. Today is ONLY the 6th. Ps. He's a man they do not think like we do he probably thought he was being nice. If you want something just say it or hint at it.

For valentines day (I presume). It came in a bag with no sender's name; I told him today about it and ultimately he told me he had sent it. We are in a LDR (met several times in person) and we talk on the phone a lot, so may be it was a gesture to make it convenient for me to talk to him!?
We like each other a lot..but I am confused. I actualy kind of told him off (indirectly)

Why would some one gift a mobile headset as a romantic gift to their partners! Is it normal ? May be I should expect something nice in the post soon. Or may be he wants to throw me off guard or is this idea of a romantic gift! :( any answers?
Agreed- I was lil rude. But then its weird to send a girl a headset a few days before 14th. Rather wait and send a card/ chocolates. I dont expect anything fancy/expensive- simple card would have been nice. !
