looking for an easily customizable old pickup truck to be modified like a

muscle car for performance.? Preferably one that will sound good. I like how trucks sound and I want to tinker with it like one would a muscle car, make it nice and shiny. The problem is, I dont know what to look for because I am only familiar with cars. Any recommendations?

Chevy S10, older model. I own an 89 and it sounds mean with out any modifications. Back then Chevy was very good, now, not so much, but you can trust the old Chevy's. All the older model trucks like fords don't look good in my opinion and everyone takes a tacoma and lifts it and makes it mean. So, go with a S10.
