looking for an SUV (jeep, xterra)?

Hey! I'm looking for a SUV. I wanted a wrangler, liberty, xterra looking vehicle, but they are all expensive, and i haven't heard the greatest reviews on jeeps. Are there any vehicles out there that might look like them? Any help is great! Thanks.

I would HIGHLY recommend a Toyota SUV of some sort. A 4Runner would be a great choice. They can be found relatively inexpensive and will run forever. Another option would be an older Land Cruiser (1985-2007), which will also run forever (and are still in the same genre of vehicle you want)

I don't know how much you are looking to spend, but both of those vehicles can be found for less than $5k (and the Land Cruisers sell new MSRP of $65k base, $73k loaded)

Stay away from anything with a Land Rover badge. I love them to death (had 5, still have 1), but cost too much to fix, which is a monthly occurrence.

Suzuki makes SUVs for GM, and sells them under their own brand name....

Kia/ Hyundai make SUVs, over the years have had partnerships with Ford, made extensive use of Fords design and engineering staff

a 2006 Kia Sportage with v6 and real 4wd, can be bought for 8-9k.....
