Looking for this animated sci-fi movie?

I can't for the life of me remember the name of this movie but I think it came out in the late 80's early 90's. It consisted of a slave boy who finds a sword hilt while working in a mine. He plans an escape and gets to a swamp where these mutants try to harvest his body parts and organs. He is saved by a Han Solo type character and has to fulfill a prophecy. Apparently the sword only works when it is used against evil. The characters are the slave boy, the Han dude, a female cyborg, and a few others.

Anybody got any ideas?
