Hi Everyone ;o)
My friend and I are two very friendly enthusiastic South African girls looking for work on a cruise liner, we did our research and we understand that the accommodation are very "modest" and the work can be very demanding depending on the position your in.
What we need to know is how do we get on board and what are our chances of getting on together to share a cabin? There are so many scams on the internet, “we guarantee you work on a ship if you only pay a minimal fee of blah blah blah”, we are not going to be cheated out of our money, we do want to make this change desperately but are wary of the “so called recruitment agencies” out there. I have come across agencies and upon phoning them the line seemed to be disconnected, I got the number of a website which I thought seemed to be legit, please just point us in the right direction and we will do the rest.
We both are hard working girls, we put in the extra hours without the extra pay, we are driven by a sense of self achievement which I think makes us workaholics, so the hours are not the problem; it's the getting on the ship part. What positions will be the best to apply for to get on board the fastest, we can always work our way from there?
Calling on all cruise liner staff out there? Any advise will be much appreciated, as you can gather we do NOT have any cruise ship experience, but I promise you we are an investment to any company/cruise liner and they Will get returns on their investment given the chance - ;o)
Thanking everyone in advance,
Tokkie and Bernise
