Loosing Internet connection?

I have recently got a new internet connection with another provider. I seem to be loosing my internet connection. I will be half way through something and everything signs out and i get a page cannot be displayed in explorer. This is extremely frustrating especially when i am in the middle of doing something. Any ideas as to how i could fix it so it doesnt keep knocking me off
