I need to lose 10-15 lbs of weight by late march or early may. Reason being for basketball team and i need to be a little faster. I am currently 5'9 and about 157-160 Lbs. I need to lose belly fat and a little leg. Please help me and no mumbo jumbo. I go to the gym 3-4 days a week and bench about 105lbs and run or do some cardio for atleat 15-30 mins at high intensity! And all thsoe ab crunches and stuff but seeing very little improvement. Please help and I need this to happen fast. Well atleast start seeing results!

Thanks!

105lb bench for your size is terrible. You should at least max out close to your body weight or over to be competitive. I suggest you go to the gym 5-6 days out of the week and work on your core lifts (bench, squat (more important than bench), deadlift, powerclean (very important for explosiveness), and incline) with medium weight, or heavy weight if you have good form, then get a good stretch (stretching is very important) before and after you run a mile at a steady pace. Don't starve yourself. Keep yourself on a high protein low carb diet. Eat foods like chicken, rice, potatoes.. the whole nine yards. stay away from junk foods such as soda, candy, chips, etc.

I recently lost 7 pounds in two weeks and the only think I did was I didn't eat carbs at night. Everything else I kept the same. It was wonderfully easy!

In your case, since you're looking to be a little quicker, try eating more protein. This will fuel you to build muscle, and burn fat. It is good that you are doing cardio exercises because when you have muscle, it is easier for your body to burn fat. You maybe want to run a little more. Aerobic exercises like running will help you lose weight. Swimming is also a great aerobic exercise. Remember, stay away from junk food. Eating the wrong foods can spoil ANY diet. Also, I know this seems silly but if you are trying to be faster, then make sure you stretch before doing strengthening exercises. You want useful, strong, lean muscles. Not bulky, slow muscles. You can "strengthen and lengthen" your muscles by attending a pilates class or a fat-burning yoga class. Don't worry, there are plenty of guys who go to these. Make sure you get plenty of sleep because studies show that if you don't get the recommended hours of sleep, it is harder to lose weight. don't be discouraged if you don't see results right away. Be consistent. You can do it!!

I hope this helped, and good luck!
