so Sun, Ben & the pilot are in the present
Jack, Kate, Hurley & Sayid are in the past
what f***ing rules are playing out here?!?!!? Time travel rules or 'the will of the Island'
Since the producers said there would be a logical explanation for everything, it has to be rules of physics--rules of time travel. I mean the island was 'magical' supposedly because it was in a special place where the laws of time/magnetism/ whatever crossed and that allowed for special manifestations.
so time travel rules HAVE to apply.
and then Sun and the pilot are out of place.
If the laws of time travel are controlling who goes where, then all the people who left the island at the time that Ben shifted the wheel and 'Moved the Island' would need to go back for the time shifting to stop.
That would include the baby and Desmond too.
AND, if all who were leaving the Island at the moment the wheel got turned got sent back 30 years when they flew over the Island again, then Sun & the pilot would have to go back in time too.
NOT Ben cause he left the Island thru a different mechanism--the wheel, which transports ppl to the desert in Northern Africa somewhere.
so,
1) W H Y are Sun & the Pilot in the present time
2) WHY were the baby & Desmond not required to be in the return to the Island in order to stop the time -shifting
Things are no longer making sense according to the rules of show & the comments the producers made.
