Macbook Air's wireless bluetooth internet?

With this new bluetooth wireless internet, how is it different than a regular wireless internet connection? Does it use satellites for internet access, or is the bluetooth same as regular (you just use it for a home wireless network)

It does not use satellites, its basically the same as wireless internet but bluetooth has a closer range but faster and bigger bandwidth, ideal for transferring files like from your cell phone to your computer or things like that.
