If you're walking down the street dressed for a night on the town you'll have a problem convincing anybody it's just for work.

If you're on your way to work or on your way home and you have the rest of your tools with you and your dressed for work. You won't have a problem. The context of your situation matters.

As do I, but I thought we were talking about a UK context? Pretty much every EDC I have is illegal in the UK....but I am not there

Yep I was just wondering the last time I was there I was warned not to carry one and I did't not even one of the tiny Swiss one I have.

Their house their rules.

Nice place to visit with a lot of nice people but I would not want to live there.

How about the knife laws in Canada last time I was there I didn't even think about but I had a small about 3" lock back on me clipped in my pocket.

about like this:

So anyway. I think guns are the least of Americans worries. Snowball fights it seems are illegal.

hmm doesn't seem to me anyone except the cop really had enough information to make the decision. If the cops show up and someone pegs him in the face with a snowball then that person would have to be pretty damn stupid. Don't throw stuff at cops... that's pretty much a universal rule of thumb that will serve you well over the course of your life. Break that rule and well... you could be some college jackass who got tazed. Too bad so sad.

Was the cop hit in the face with a snowball? Was the crowd unruly to the point that cops had to step in and sort out the situation? Was the crowd aggressive and threatening?

You don't know... there hasn't really been enough info released on the incident... but it doesn't take a whole lot of info to know throwing things at cops... yes even a snowball... is pretty damn dense.

Here's a vid that shows the boys in blue hauling someone off.... dunno if it's the tazed kid or not. And of course what would you expect by a pack of raving college kids... that's right several take a turn chucking snowballs at a cop that's hauling someone off. I dunno about you but if you're getting hauled in by the scruff of your neck... it's serious enough not to screw about generally.... so if you are then some knucklehead college student that thinks its a laugh to pelt a cop during the course of his duty... hell yes you deserve to be tazed.

Taze. Away.

You don't like being tazed? Don't be a douchebag. Simple.

On a technical note.... wonder if he got tazed in the face. lol. Often times with winter clothing a taze won't even have an effect because the barbs can't make contact. Oh well either way... boo frikcety hoo.

I think the leader of the Westboro Baptist Church is actually a very educated, former, civil rights lawyer. I'm sure he's a lawyer though and so are some of his top people who are mostly all within his family. I think he's been disbarred. But you almost be certain that whenever they're protesting, it's within their legal rights. As all LE is looking to get them.

It's scary how a civil rights lawyer who fought racial discrimination in Kansas has become one of the most hate filled religious leaders in America.

Well yeah, but if you tried to break up a snow ball fight. What would you expect to happen? Be honest now

I don't think there was much money to be made in representing black people in the 60's

At the time no....but many people will "invest in loss"...Jim Jones is another example that springs to mind, especially scary given the cult nature of WBC

I doubt he went poor as a result; even if he took "state funding" for his actions he will trump in "quantity over quality" of payments

^Obama is the new Jim Jones.

I bet if Obamacare took his colony of OBAMA troops (like hitler had the hitler youth) to a camp in south america they would follow and jamestown 2 would occur

In general, Civil Rights lawyers make very little money up until today. I have a few clients who are very prominent Civil Rights lawyers that are Jews. These Jewish lawyers where the ones who fought hand in hand with the Black Civil Rights leaders back in the time of MLK Jr. and up until now for Civil Rights.

I asked them if there's a lot of money in Civil Rights litigation and they said no. Even after winning, it takes a very long time to collect the judgment. Usually, all of the appeals process would be exhausted, which tacks on many more years potentially. And their clients usually are poor Blacks, so they work on a contingency basis only. They take up this field is because they believe in it and also Jews were heavily discriminated against also.

There's always money to be made in establishing a reputation and a following.
