MAP is growing

I have been watching the rate of growth on MAP and by the end of next week we should have 55,000 members.

What are you doing to help promote the site, have you got links on facebook, or a blog somewhere? Do you mention it to training partners maybe?

How did you find the site?

I think MAP is in a pretty good place right now and we are quite lucky with the people we have here. Advice is freely sought, with replies coming almost immediately. Where else would you get that for free.

MAP will hopefully continue to grow and you can do your bit by becoming a supporting member

Maybe you are just a window shopper, browsing the threads without actually posting, which is fine. Dip a toe in the water though with an introduction. You will always get an answer here.

Not necessary Llama (my fees are ridiculous - I wish)

Before MAP I had never posted on any other forum. I was checking out my instructor who posts here (a pathetic 9 posts) and just liked the place.

It would be nice if some of the window shoppers posted, even if it is to say hi.

MAP as a whole is fantastic and advice people are willing to give out on fitness, the odd technique and flexibility is amazing.

However I would have a hard time selling the Bujinkan Argument/Ninjitsu Forum and the global "You DON'T spar omg u r teh loose" sentiment to any of my Genbukan mates.

EDIT - I'm not going anywhere though, you've still got me.

It says something to me that I feel genuinely depressed when I'm confronted by the "database error" screen. Absolutely amazing site and community.

I'm not surprised its growing, type in 'martial arts forum' into google and we're the top two results!

I think MAPs great, good mix of people and a lot of good sense taught. I think its genuinely a place where posters go out of their way to be helpful to those new to MAs, which is a nice thing :-)

I typed "Ninjutsu" on Google and was directed to MAP. That forum, at the time I joined, had pretty cool threads about camouflage, walking silently, taking cold showers (thank you Dale Seago) just to name a few.

Not to mention the hilarious trolls that roamed the forum in scores.

It's a place that I can get advice on almost anything.

People come and go as interests change, but so far I'm happy to be a member of MAP and to have met some great and interesting people here.

A lot of people just stay in their respective forums, unfortunately. We've tried smoking 'em out, but to no avail.

So I'm afraid you're stuck with us southpaw.

I found MAP by accident and am glad I did. I spread the word verbally to my classmates & my SBN. I also have emailed the link to friends across the pond who train in our organization. Thank you all for this site.

I feel a little bad, I don't even remember how I found MAP. think I was searching for reiki stuff and found a thread about it lol I remember being disappointed and shocked that so few people were into it. Ah, naivete for the win.

I found MAP when I was looking to see if an instructor was legitimate or not. Since then I have switched arts and become a daily visitor to the forum.
