I find the post quite accurate (one half of it anyway) as I actually do acquire currency as part of my other hobby, travelling for free.
Over the weekend I booked 5 trips for two people, from the US to Europe twice, the Middle East, Caribbean and Canada which was paid for in full by acquiring US currency with a US credit card, actually I am still in profit from the transaction.
That sounds nice. Over the weekend I was drawing a fork for art class and a lamp fell on my computer and shattered glass got all in the keys. I had to get the entire keyboard replaced and it cost me $180.
I also had a failed attempt at spending time with the wife partly due to me not sticking to the schedule I had set and her not communicating she had an event she had to go to later that day. Bummer of the day filled with arguing. Other then that, homework and boxing. I was so bummed out this weekend I missed going to the book store and getting a few books on financial matters to give me an edge on making copious amounts of revenue
Who the heck goes and visits the Middle East and Canada?
Individual retirement account - though it did cause problems for Mickey D's in the mid 80s when an Ulster loyalist on holiday in Florida found a workers payslip and read they paid IRA contributions on their wages.
You will never meet as many people in your lifetime as the views on a moderately popular youtube video. You do present yourself to give facts, but they often seem to be based on personal experience. Those are not facts. An unbiased study showing a correlation between the majority of gamers w/ and w/o ISAs would be fact. Until you provide that, it's fact for 'you' based on who you have met. Not a good sample for concrete evidence based on the probably millions of gamers out there.
