She only represented and cared about SOUTH England. Scotland, North England, Wales and Ireland where just lucky to be part of the UK in her eyes. if we did not share the view of her and her elitist party then why should she care its only about South England
We have ONE idiot up here who prays at the Alter of this villain, called Ruth Davidson... She must love being lonely

ye but what does that have to do with the Scottish PEOPLE? Malcolm Rifkind was not Scottish as he was tory. You could say that Malcolm done his part in guaranteeing the Tories will never have a home in Scotland EVER AGAIN
The common view of those vehemently opposed to her term focus around the poll tax. As if it was her sole idea, and wish and knew it was going to have the effect it did. Relinquishing responsibility for those also involved.
Almost, but she had a special hatred for the miners.
Partly I think it stemmed from the tories not forgiving the NUM for bringing down Ted Heath. But I think for Thatcher it was what the miners represented: working class solidarity and working class culture.
Sure she needed to break the unions, and that meant above all breaking the NUM, the 'Grenadier Guards' of the TUC. But on a deeper level, she needed to destroy the culture of the traditional working class in order to expand the underclass. The chavs and the asbo generation were her lasting legacy.
I notice that she won't be getting a state funeral after all. I'm glad in a way, because she certainly didn't deserve one, but on the other hand it would have been a great opportunity for people to turn out in force and show what they really thought of her.
I would imagine that's the reason they're not having one. The security and policing would be impractical (to put it mildly). They're already said they'll "clear the route" to St Paul's for her funeral - clear it of disgruntled ex-miners, shipwrights and steelworkers, I'd imagine.
