Marine questions

Multi-quote doesn't work but Marines do salute indoors, if you're covered indoors that means you're on duty. If you're on duty and an officer asks for a report you salute and give him the report.

The uniforms are all based on tradition. If you look at our history all the Marines looked like we do today for the most part in our dress uniform.

Officers have the black belt and the Mamaluke sword since it was a gift. All NCO's and officers had the Mamaluke back in the day but now just officers do. That sword was decommissioned around the time of the Civil War for the current NCO sword. But the Marines complained and the officers got the Mamaluke.

There is a ton more to it but if you have any questions about the uniforms I can answer them.

I am a US Marine, I am not an NCO (waiting for my MOS to be unlocked)

not really, I know about 90% of the uniform details/meanings...I read my handbook that you get in bootcamp though. That tells you.

ok.... the Enlisted dress blues are blue and the officers are gold mostly to tell a difference... As far as why cant they wear their uniforms in public is because there is no need to and it makes them look bad and it is a chance of it getting messed up... The head officer in the Marine Corps said not to and i agree with him because it does look bad walking around with them on.... I went to Marine Corps Recuiting Depo Parris Island, South Carolina in march and Marine Corps base Qunatico, Virginia last friday and they told me all about it. It made perfect sense but i dont feel like going all into it...

You are jumping the fucking gun, and every two weeks theres like 10 threads on something about joining the marines/army/airforce/navy, being a hero blah blah blah.

I have wanted to be a Marines since I was 4. Even b4 I knew killing people might be part of the job. I don't give a shit what you say, Im not jumping the fuckin gun at all. The only reason I did not do a split option is because I had a surgery and im still in a cast.

I guess you are lucky there are people like me who have wanted to help protect the country you live in. Because God knows pussies like you think your life is just so much more valuable than others. heroes are the people that have kept and will keep this country great. So dont bad mouth them shit bird.

being a hero is not part of the job. It does just happen how ever. If you ever take away from any of the people who have fought and gave their lives for this country you should go talk to their families and tell them that.

I have fought, I was shot and blown up. Yet I want you to speak your mind and you're allowed to. Don't bash the troops bash the war.

skilled nugget.

May I ask why?

I leave in October and I will not be making a thread, maybe when I get back but even then. No one on PBN really cares, outside of the military thread.
