Martial arts/ hand to hand combat question?

Okay Im look for classes in Winston Salem, NC that teach hand to hand combat mostly with weapons. But not just weapons and have some sort of competitions so i can verse other people.
P.S. Possum Im actually someone who loves military and its history along with the making and use of the weapons. Also so what that i misuse one word. And i wanted a little more straight forward answer than a search engine would give so please be quiet.
 
The main reason why I'm going to refuse to give a normal answer to this question, is because you can't use the word verse properly in a sentence. There's also that you can't figure out how to use a search engine, but still, it sounds more like you're a gamer who wants to realize his fantasies.
