lack of demand? Michael Koncz says that taxes are too high and Manny's popularity is maximized in the U.S., but my trusty G59 b.s. translator is telling me Arum doesn't feel demand is high enough to compensate for his risk.

1. Neither his marginal or effective tax rate would be 39.6% as the article quotes Koncz.
2. If taxes were truly a priority, why would he fight his last 8 in the U.S. after the ODLH victory turned him into a superstar?
3. If Manny's global sales are as high as Top Rank (and many in this forum) have boasted, what does it matter? The only portion the U.S. can tax are the direct payment for U.S. generated revenue.

you got a hunch the reason why pac wont fight in the US aint about increased taxes but decreased popularity?....

i dont think pac has somethin to do w/ it, fighting outside US...cuz arum's the one who desnt want the pac fights be made in the US...cuz he's the one most affected by the tax increase being an american citizen...

pac's popularity? i think it even gained more after he lost to jmm

Martin And Kevin were right; MAnny may not fight in the US this time. However, its not due to lack of demand. People will always watch a fallen warrior avenge his defeat. Its still doubtful,but Manny will likely stage a fight in his native Philippines. Its election time in May in RP and its the reason Pac wanted to fight as soon as April. That's politics in Philippines for you.
