I'm trying to fix up a mazda mx6 dat hasn't really run in about 5 years, it can drive still but i want to make sure dat it doesn't shut down on me. what are the most important things i should look at to ensure that it runs smoothly.

Plz dont say service it, i need something more specific

depends on the mileage. Mazda's scheduled maintenance requires a new timing belt around 100,000 miles, and it runs about $800. Other than than, new plugs and belts, and replace air, fuel, and tranny filters. You should see another 100k easily.

yea, take the intake manifold off and the spark plugs out.. Using a turkey baster send mystery oil down all the openings and let it soak and sit over night.. Then crank it the next day and get that Mystery oil all around the pistons and cylinder.. Then drain. Thats good medicine for a car that has sat awhile
