McAfee Installer will not connect to internet?

I use AT&T for internet service and they offer the free McAfee security for download. I download the installer but when I run it, it says that it is having trouble accessing the internet. I obviously have an internet connection, because I am posting this from the same computer. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
I have restarted the computer, re-ran the installer. Turned on and off my firewall, adjusted security settings...
