...Bridal Registry. Is this legit? So I won one of two gifts from "Ultra Bridal Registry." They are either 2 titanium wedding bands from JVL Jewelry or an all-inclusive vacation package to the Viva Wyndham Resorts in Mexico, Dominican Republic, or Bahamas. I received a call from "Tiffany" about my "win" and she said I signed up online or in a bridal store or something. Now, granted I did enter a few sweepstakes, but none with that name or those prizes and the only bridal store I visited was David's Bridal (who have shared my information with soooooo many companies at this point and I am HIGHLY frustrated by that). I felt like it was too good to be true so I did a little googling and discovered quite a few other companies with different names that have done the same. Many people have complained about the bad hotel experience and about having to sit through hours of demonstration with their products. From what I have gathered, the vacation is legit and the hotel stay is "basically" free. I am worried however that it may not all be legit. Tiffany didn't mention at all about having to sit through a demonstration and she just said that we have to come by this hotel in order to get our prizes and have a couples meal prepared for us, lol. There was also a website, and it looks like they sell cookware and promote some sort of healthy living or something. This is similar to what other people have said in the past, lol. I'm supposed to be attending this coming Tuesday. Has anyone else received a call like this in 2013??? Please let me know what you think.

This is not a legit sweepstakes. This is more like a timeshare appointment with bigger gifts. If you go to their site, they have some info about their "promotion" but there are no rules listed which they would post right there if this was sweepstakes. A real sweepstakes would require an affidavit and would give you lots of information. You would be able to match up whatever contest you entered to the affidavit. The company would also give you a copy of the rules that you agreed to win you entered the contest. This seems like a "gift" with a lot of work and spam involved.
