Meeting Single Girls?

Is there some kind of place or club that's geared towards bringing singles together for dating? The best thing for me would be to meet someone in person or perhaps a chance to meet a bunch of single girls at once. Does such a thing exist?

I haven't had the best of luck online these past couple of years. Some dates, but mostly just lot's of emailing back an forth leading nowhere. I've only been using craigslist though. Are those paid for sites like match.com really good?

Any suggestions or experiences would be helpful.
 
My friend tried eharmony and is now engaged. It's worth the money I suppose. Sometimes they have events for single people called "Speed Dating" in which you meet many single ladies in a short amount of time and anyone who is interested exchange phone numbers. Try and see if there's anything like that running in your area. Good luck.
