Metallica was consider thrash metal with their Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, ... And Justice For All. When they came out with the 'Black' album their style change alot. Load and Reload was a embarassment for the band because they lost all their thrash roots. St Anger was the worst album ever because the use of a snare drum was never used on the band's previous albums, plus the album was more modern rock than metal. Now, my question is; How many of you think that 'Death Magnetic' is a comeback of the band's 80s thrash era? Death Magnetic does not sound like the last 3 albums. I exclude Garage Inc out of the discography because it's not even a full length album, it's a cover album. So how many of you think Metallica improve their music style with 'Death Magnetic' and do you think it's more heavier than the last 3 albums?
