Does anyone know any places that sell small battery powered microphone modules for digital recorders like MiniDisc etc?
I have looked at the Sound Professionals website as well as Minidisco in the past amongst others but unfortunately the price now is too expensive with the dollar strengthening to the pound.

If you know of any places that sell similar here in the UK or anywhere else I can buy from at a lower price I'd appreciate your advice. I should really have bought one last summer when the pound to dollar was at rate of $2.00 USD+.
Unfortunately now after shipping costs and converting (1.42 usd to £) etc the price is likely to be about £85 for the top module on that page with bass roll off and that doesn't include import duty and taxes which would bump it up some more.
If you can make any recommendations where I can buy similar from here in the UK or elsewhere for lower price I'd appreciate it else I'll probably have to build one myself from components which could take some time as I'm not the best at working with small electronics and soldering etc.
